"Dibs on the Cribs" Traditional Cache

This cache is accessed from the Golden road in Millinocket
We placed this cache to bring you to a beautiful spot on the west branch of the penobscot river, called the "cribwork". This spot is a popular spot to watch the whitewater rafters and maybe sit on the rocks and have a picnic if desired. To get to the cache, take the Golden road from Millinocket, cross Abol bridge, and continue on until you reach the junction of the Telos road on your right,{about 1/4 mile past Prays Big Eddy campground}. Turn right onto the Telos road and go about 75 yards past the bridge to a small parking area on your right. The cache can be found from there!! Be careful, watch for rafter/photographer, and fisherman muggles. Please be discreet and maybe take cache back to your vehicle to plunder it. There is also a trail across the road from the parking lot that goes up along the river for some more nice views. Don't forget to check out the other caches on your way up if desired and bring your camera, and please watch out for Moose while traveling the Golden road. Contents of the cache are the usual trade items,including a log book,pencils and sharpener. We tried to include nifty items too...postcards,new matchbox cars for the kids, carabiner keychains, squeeze light,magic calculater/pen set, Canadian 1 dollar "Looney", CITO kit, and more. Also a 2005 Maine Geocoin for the FTF, or if you already have one, we ask that you leave it for someone that does not have one. WE also placed our first T.B. called "Dawg" who is looking to go someplace warm. This is our first cache, hope we did it right and welcome any comments to help us improve our future cache hides.
