I thought I’d share one of my VERY favorite places on the whole Palouse, the Leifer's Iris Test Gardens. Any time that I’m traveling by in late spring/early summer I just HAVE to stop and enjoy this place. Do you like flowers?? This is the place for you! Come enjoy the sights & smells! You’ll be glad you did. A good time to come by is May/June. It's like Heaven on Earth! From route 195 turn at Steptoe onto route 23. Go 14 miles to St. John. Turn on Park Ave in the middle of town & go approx 1 mi. It looks like this will be the last year for the gardens!! Guess you'd better enjoy them THIS YEAR! They're moving by 2008.
