Geocache Description:

No one was ever told what “The Whomping Tree” was really for. What we do know is that it will attack anyone who comes within reach of its branches. “The Whomping Tree” is a very valuable tree that hides a secret within. People used to play a game, trying to get near enough to touch the trunk. In the end, a boy nearly lost an eye, now everyone is forbidden to go near “The Whomping Tree”. There is a particular spot on the tree that will stop it from attacking and holds the valuable secret. Moral: “It’s all fun and games, until someone loses an eye.” Do you have the courage and skill to attempt this task? Keep your feet on the ground as you search for the valuable secret that hides within. BEWARE of surrounding muggles, especially on Sunday mornings, they will not understand.
