This small lock-n-lock style container is just a few feet off the main road.
During the last ice age when the ice was moving down from the north it was pushing a big pile of dirt and rocks in front as it scoured the land. When the ice finally stopped and melted away that fontal moraine was left behind. This cache sits up near the very top of the pile, which in this otherwise flat landscape makes it the best place for a long view over the area around.
Of course you are next to a highway so be careful as you enjoy the view.
