Geocache Description:

Join the IGO and OCCS Outdoor Adventure Club to celebrate their 1st Annual Northwest Iowa Geocaching Event on Saturday, May 13, 2006 and search for over 27 geocaches hidden throughout the Orange City, Iowa and outlying communities.

Participants will be given coordinates for the cache locations as they arrive at the Orange City Community Swimming Pool Shelter (listed coordinates). At each event cache, participants will collect an animal name. At the end of the day, participants will turn in their cache sheet for a chance to win prizes.

Geocachers will be on hand to teach newcomers how to use a GPS and the "ins and outs" of geocaching. A limited supply of GPS units will be available for check out. Participants can come and go throughout the day.

Waypoints for the event MAY be available for download to your GPS so please remember to bring your data cable!

Bring something to grill and we will provide the condiments for a simple dinner. The grills will be ready for cooking around 4pm.
