Geocache Description:

Cache is North of Trail.

This cache has been placed in recognition of Old Ranger and Mrs. Old Ranger's 1000th Find! It's an ammo box painted silver to commerate their first 1000 finds.

Extend your congratulations to Old Ranger by finding the cache, signing the logbook and posting you "Found It" online.

In keeping with the Chicagoland tradition ,started by Fallenfaery and SpecialEd, I've placed this commemorative silver ammo cache to honor Mr. & Mrs Old Ranger.

They told me their goal was to reach 1000 this month. A few weeks ago Old Ranger took a trip to the emergency room and received 12 stitches to his knee. He continued to hunt and realized that 1000 cache goal even with the stitches. Now that's determination!

The cache is hidden along the Virgil Gilman trail. It is on the North side of the trail toward the homes and away from the tracks. I hope you enjoy it and share your congratulations with Old Ranger!
