There is now an event in the area for Friday evening - A Midsummer Night's Event

Possible attendance is up over 150 now, we strongly urge you to bring lawn chairs/umbrellas for shade! We have enough coolers now, thank you for those that offered

Hurricane

When	August 12th, 2006 at 10:00 am
Where	Franz Ross Park, Port Charlotte, FL Meet At: Pavillion
Theme	The theme for this event is "Survivor", for all those that have survived and overcome hurricanes, or anything else that life has dealt out. We are working around the theme for the TV series of the same name.
Food	Please bring a dish (themed if possible) to share and your own entree and beverages. there will be a hot grill available. NO glass containers please!!
Activities	Approver, palmetto will speak on the hot issues or concerns we may all have. Following the educational part of the event...There will be fun, food games and of course CACHING!!! We will be planting new event caches!!!! You convinced to sign up to come yet? Please NO pocket caches, as it has been brought to light that these are against the guidelines.
What To Bring	Of course there will be the usual TB exchange! Unfortunately some did NOT survive the hurricanes, but let's show the geo-world what survivors these little guys CAN be!! Also, this is rainy season in the Sunshine State, so bug spray may be in order. Last year was terribly hot, so lots of water or fluids are also a must!Culligan has graciously donated some bottled water for the event, so some WILL be available.
Needing Help	We also need everyone to sign up and then email us your names/age of children ASAP please!! If we do not have your geo/real names in enough time before the event, unfortunately there will not be a special name tag, but a handwritten one for you and your party.
