Geocache Description:

Located in Fonferek Glen the cache is located across the creek from the parking lot however pretty accessible once you get across. Use caution with kids as the area is still pretty rugged.

Powder Blue Rocks! The Maquoketa Formation found at the north end of the glen along the creek inspired the name. Look for a blue grey material which is the rock formation. More info at this link: (visit link)

The glen itself is a hidden gem and should be explored by everyone. Very rugged in spots so careful with kids. Non-adventurouse types should consider crossing the creek upstream of the falls. Also look for the "cave" and the stone bridge (rumor has it it was created by a cow falling through and into the creek).

The cache itself is an ammo box with brown duct tape. A loose collection of stuff and a log book. This was created for a CITO event on EarthDay and used to launch Daisy the travel bug, #588347.
