Geocache Description:

It is located off the path so you will encounter a few small brambles, but not a problem. Also due to leaf cover reception may be weak.

This cache is situated in the Northern tip of Lawrenny Wood, by the banks of Garron Pill where it meets the Cleddau. These are ancient woods containing a large selection of flaura and fauna, including some of the largest lichens found. The most pleasant way to do this cache is to park at Lawrenny Quay, where there happens to be a good pub and a seasonal tea room. The walk is beautiful along the estuary through the woods, with good views of Benton Castle on the opposite side of the estuary. Bring binoculars and ensure dogs are on a lead as this is such a haven for a myriad of wildlife.
