Hike Clockwise, staying on the Big Cedar Trail and use the posted co-ordinates to take you to the first stage which has the final coordinates posted under the bridge to the big cedar. Use your phone if you don't want to get your feet wet in the spring (but don't drop that phone). Creek is dry in the fall. The Columbia View trail will take you to the final. There is rest stop 50meters away from the cache, the view is underwhelming, but there's a bench. It's good place to chill out after completing all the uphill and before enjoying a nice walk along the ridge. The best views are between the 2 caches up here
From Castlegar travel 3km west on Hwy. 3 and then turn right onto Merry Creek Forest Road. 2.3km to the parking area and trail head which is signed. Trail starts below the parking area.
