Místní cást Slatinan, Škrovád, leží na pískovcích druhohorního stárí pri rece Chrudimce. Od 18. do poloviny 20. století se v obci a blízkém okolí težil v rade lomu pískovec. Dnes jsou dávno opuštene pískovny cvicnými horolezeckými terény...;)
