Houdini Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

tjbrr: Archiving Houdini which doesn't comply with the new Kane County FPD Geocaching Regulations and Requirements. I hope to replace my 2 caches in this preserve with one approved by the district. Note: Removed on Saturday, 8-30-08, while on hike on a beautiful afternoon.

Geocache Description:

Houdini is located in Aurora West Forest Preserve. The cache is off a small trail. You may encounter briars & ticks.

We forgot to bring a pencil when we placed Houdini, so you will need to BYOP.

Harry Houdini is one of the best known escape artists. He began his humble career performing card tricks, illusions, & common escapes. At one point, he ran a newspaper ad to sell all of his tricks for $20.00. He had no takers. He became famous doing his Needle Trick (you don't want to know) & his Challenge Act. He would challenge his audience to produce handcuffs & he would escape from them. He learned to escape from strait jackets, jail cells, padlocked crates, and canvas mail bags. His most famous escapes were the Water Torture Cell, Milk Can Escape & Buried Alive.

Along the way to Houdini (the cache), you may find his 4 brothers & 1 sister. They may even be hiding inside the cache. Don't let Harry escape his coffin when you reach the cache. Good Luck.

You must sign the log in order to claim a find.
