This cache along with 5 others is located within Ponderosa Pines Campground with permission of the owners Kirk and Phyllis They have asked that Geocachers park at the gate and walk to the caches in order to keep traffic down in the campground. Also they don't want cachers coming in after 8:30 pm. Thank You and have fun!
If you want a nice hike around the lake You go straight down to the bottom of the campground then follow the lake around. Its not really a long hike. You will need rubber boots because there are some wet muddy spots on the trail. There is also one spot where you have clamber across logs to cross over the water.
If you want an easier route, start at the entrance gate. Follow the road to the left behind the house. It will take you to the cache by a shorter less damp route.
You won't miss The Picnic Table Graveyard on your walk around the lake it is quite an obvious site.
The container is a cold drink thermos painted cammo and filled with lots of traders. FTF Gift $5 lottery pack
