Einleitung:
This cache can be searched and found like
any other traditional cache, but …
… it can be the starting point for an
international cooperation as well:
This cache is just one cache of a set of 12 caches named "IMC No. 3
…" (IMC = International Multi-Cache). These caches are hidden in 6
Countries worldwide:
BE = Belgium, CA = Canada, DE = Germany, IT = Italy, PT =
Portugal, US = USA.
In each country there is a "primary cache" like this one and a
"secondary cache" that can only be found with "hints" distributed
to all primary caches.
The 6 primary caches are named "IMC No. 3 P-x - yyy" and the 6
secondary caches "IMC No. 3 S-x - zzz" where x is the country code
given above and yyy and zzz can be any additional name.
The hints for the secondary caches are printed on "lists of hints"
that are inside the primary caches. As the primary caches are
scattered all over the world it will either require a lot of
travelling or - and that is the intention of the IMC No. 3 -
international cooperation:
If you want to find the secondary cache as well, you should contact
finders of other primary IMC No. 3 caches and exchange the
hints.
And please don't be a poor
sport!
Never publish these hints anywhere! Not in a log report or on any
web side. The hints shall only be exchanged / traded between
geocachers that found the primary caches and want to search the
secondary caches.

Dieser Cache ist nur einer von einem Satz von 12 Caches, deren
Namen mit "IMC No. 3" beginnt. IMC steht für Internationaler Multi
Cache. Diese Caches sind in 6 Ländern weltweit versteckt:
BE = Belgien, CA = Kanada, DE = Germany, IT = Italien,PT = Portugal
und US = USA.
In jedem Land gibt es einen "Primär Cache" wie diesen und einen
"Sekundär Cache", der nur mit allen 6 Hinweisen (= Hints") gefunden
werden kann, die in den Primär Caches versteckt sind.

und yyy und zzz beliebige zusätzliche Namen.
Die Hinweise für die Sekundär Caches sind auf Liste ("list of
hints") gedruckt, die in den Primär Caches liegen. Weil die Primär
Caches über die ganze Welt verteilt versteckt sind, müsste man
entweder sehr viel reisen oder - und das ist die Intention des IMC
- international kooperieren:
Wenn Du auch den deutschen Sekundär Cache finden möchtest, dann
solltest Du mit den Findern der anderen Primär Caches Kontakt
aufnehmen und die Hinweise austauschen.
Und bitte sei kein Spielverderber!
Die Hinweise dürfen nie und nirgends veröffentlicht werde! Nicht
beim Logen und auch nicht auf irgendeiner Webseite. Die Hinweise
sollen nur getauscht werden unter Geocacher, die die Primär Caches
gefunden haben und die Sekundär Caches heben wollen.

The Cache
/ Das Versteck:

minerals, ore, coal and oil are stored.
And these minerals draw the attention of
the alchemists. On one hand these alchemists searched for the
"Philosopher's Stone" (to turn any metal into gold) and on the
other hand they laid the foundation for modern science. During the
age of enlightenment these early scientists got into conflikt with
the church, which feared that a deeper knowledge could endanger
faith in God. And the lack of faith would have endangered the
church itself. Therefore the church founded the institution of the
inquisition and chased the alchemists. Nevertheless some fearless
alchemists continued to practice in secrecy.
One of these brave alchemists lived in
Beyenburg. You will pass through this village on you cache hunt.
This alchemist was famous, because he had strange stones from all
over the world in his posession.
As there was a catholic monastry in
Beyenburg, practicing the early science was anything but safe
there. But this alchemist had a secret place, where he made his
experiments. This place was well sheltered by a wall of rocks. So
no one would see the shine of his fire. And always before going
home, he put his valuable stones into a box and placed this box in
the root of a nearby tree.
This alchemist passed away long tome ago,
but his famous stones are still in the hideaway. Other alchemists
and later scientists use the secret place to trade rare and
valuable stones.
If you want to search this box and see
these amazing collection of stones, please have another stone,
jewel or mineral with you for trading. Just a small one as the box
is not bigger than one litre.

Und diese Mineralien zogen die Aufmerksamkeit der ersten
Alchemisten an. Einerseits suchten die Alchemisten den Stein der
Weisen, mit dem sich jedes Metall in Gold verwandeln lässt, und
andererseits legten sie die Grundsteine für die moderne
Wissenschaft. Im Zeitalter der Aufklärung gerieten die Alchemisten
in Konflikt mit der Kirche, welche Angst hatte, dass einen tiefere
Einsicht in die Natur der Dinge den Glauben an Gott gefährden
würde. Und ein Verlust an Glauben würde die Kirche selbst
gefährden. Und also schuf die Kirche die Institution der
Inquisition und jagte alle Alchemisten. Dennoch praktizierten
einige furchtlose Alchemisten geheim.
Einer dieser tapferen Alchemisten lebte in Beyenburg. Auf der
Suche nach dem Cache wirst Du durch dieses Dorf kommen. Dieser
Alchemist war berühmt, weil er Steine aus aller Herren Länder in
seinem Besitz hatte.
In der Nähe des Klosters von Beyenburg war die Ausübung der
Alchemie alles andere als sicher. Aber unser Alchemist kannte einen
geheimen Ort, an dem er seine Experimente durchführte. Dieser Ort
war wohl abgeschirmt durch hohe Felsen, so dass niemand den Schein
seines Feuers sehen konnte. Und jedes Mal bevor er wieder nach
Hause ging, tat er seine Steine in eine Dose und versteckte diese
in der Wurzel eines nahe gelegenen Baums.
Unserer Alchemist starb schon vor langer Zeit, aber seine
berühmten Steine sind noch immer in dem Versteck. Andere
Alchemisten und die ersten Wissenschaftler benutzten das geheime
Versteck, um seltene und wertvolle Steine zu tauschen.
Wenn Du die Dose suchen und die erstaunlichen Steine sehen
willst, dann bring bitte einen anderen Stein, einen Edelstein oder
ein Mineral zum Tauschen mit. Nur einen kleinen Stein, den die Dose
ist fasst nur einen Liter.
