Spruce Peak offers a fabulous view of Manchester and the Battenkill Valley. It is not as well known or as popular as Prospect Rock, but the view is just as stunning. There are a couple of ways to do this. The shortest is to park at the Long Trail parking on Rtes 11&30. From there it is about 2.5 miles. We rated this a 3.5 as there is a pretty good kick up up to the peak You are looking for an ammo can with the ususual swag. There is nice Friendly package for the First to Find. For the adventurous I offer the triple crown challenge. The best way to do this is to be able to spot a car at the LT parking or at the end of Rooteville Road near Prospect Rock. This is about 6.5 miles round trip. You will be able to do Q's Look Out, Dee's Delight, and Vermont 1. We do this hike frequently, it is very enjoyable. We prefer starting from the 11&30 lot as you finish going down the steepest part.
