Geocache Description:

The Dark Lord, Sauron, chose the land of Mordor as his dwelling-place in the Second Age. Mount Doom was the reason for his choice. He used the fire that welled here from the heart of the earth in his sorceries and his forging. The result of his forging, and in fact the only one we know of for sure was “The One Ring”.

Your journey will begin at the listed coordinates. Although the math questions are tricky, you may want to use a calculator, but is not necessary will just make it harder. You will not need to get out of your vehicle to retrieve any of the information that will lead you to the final coordinates. To continue on from this point you must retrieve the BNSF Emergency call phone number off of the little silver building before you cross the RR tracks. You will need this 11 digit number to figure your next coordinates. The degrees will always remain the same. Add the 7th and 9th numbers together, put a 0 in front of it. This will be the first two digits of your new N minutes. Take the original last three N minutes and subtract 672.764, this will be the last 3 digits for your new N minutes.
To get the first two digits of your new W minutes, using the phone number, add them digit by digit, then subtract 8. This is your new W minutes. To get the last three digits of your new W minutes, again, using the phone number, subtract the first number from the second number, this is the first number of your last three W digit minutes. Take the eighth number, subtract the first number, this will be your second number of your last three W digits minutes. Take the fifth number, subtract the third number, this is your third digit of your last W three minutes.

You are looking for a telephone pole that has a small red plaque with four sets of white numbers on it. Write these numbers down exactly as you see them. The degrees and first two digits in the N minutes will remain the same. For your new last three digits; using the second set of numbers, add them to the third set of numbers, multiple them by the fourth set of numbers, and then subtract 28.
The W degrees will remain the same. For your first two digits of your new W minutes, take your second set of numbers, subtract your third set of numbers then subtract your fourth set of numbers. For your last three digits in your new W minutes, take your second set of numbers, multiple by your fourth set of numbers then add 5.

You will be traveling along a well maintain gravel road to get to the coordinates that you just figured. Any significant rain or snow can make travel on this road bad. I wouldn’t recommend attempting this cache in inclement weather or after dark. The last coordinates will lead you to a buried cable warning post. On this post are some phone numbers. Take the last 4 digits of the Nebraska & Wyoming phone numbers, you will need these to figure the coordinates to the FINAL cache site. Using the Nebraska number put a decimal point after the 5., then take that number and subtract it from all of your N minutes. Take the difference and multiple it by 10.7, add that to .0378. Put a 0 in front of that figure, this will be your new N minutes.
For the last 3 digits of your new W minutes, take the Nebraska number, add them digit by digit, muliple by the first two digits of the Wyoming number, then subtract the last two digits of the Wyoming number add to that the third digit in the Wyoming number and the first digit in the Wyoming number, and finally add this total number to the last three digits of your last W minutes.

Make sure you take plenty of water with you on your “hike”. I am sure you will enjoy the incredible view. There are not many areas with a view like this. The cache size is a very large ammo can, approximate dimensions 24x18x10. After all of your hard work deciphering and hiking, we wanted to make it well worth your while. It is filled with some larger higher quality items than usual, so please trade appropriately. There is a camera in the cache, take a picture of yourself, but please leave in the cache box. Please put the cache back EXACTLY as you found it.

We are not leaving a hint however, if you have trouble, please feel free to e-mail us for help.

CONGRATULATION!! "Wielders of Anduril" FTF You have conquered once again
