Lake Milliken Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

dougscachers4: After 6 good years, this cache has been muggled. I don't know if the muggler was human or critter but I did find raccoon poo in the hiding spot. I am sorry for all the lost travel bugs.

Geocache Description:

Located near Lake Milliken in the Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area.

Lake Milliken offers good fishing (from the bank only). Also, there is easy access to the Kankakee River for more bank fishing. There are picknic tables, restrooms and even playground equipment for the kids. Parking will be no problem, in fact the closest parking to the cache is only 220 feet away.

There is heavy muggle traffic between the parking area and the river. Please rehide the cache so that someone walking by cannot see it. There is plenty of camoflage material laying around for you to use.

I have included a disposable camera, please take your picture but not the camera. When it is full I will post the pictures.

So, bring a picnic, bring the kids, bring your fishing pole and have some fun. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your GPSr.

During the winter months and the two weeks before trout season opens (the first Saturday of April) the gate will be locked. You can park outside the gate and walk in.

Lake Milliken Cache is placed on Illinoi Department of Natural Resources property with permission. It is the visitors responsibility to orient themselves with policies and rules pertaining to this DNR managed site.
