G & E: Thi# cache has had a. great run since 2006. It seems that it has been mugged. Others are now placing caches in this ravine so the area is now freed up to receive a new cache or two.

Geocache Description:

Park at the Twin Brooks District Park at N53 26.945 W113 32.291. You may be able to reach it from Smith Crossing in the winter, but why would you want to?

You might already know why they call Twin Brooks, "Twin Brooks", but do you know why they call part of it "The Pointe"? Where the Blackmud Ravine meets the Whitemud Ravine is the Pointe. It was the Foreman homestead before the City grew and bought it for a park. The views are awesome. You can actually sit on a bench and watch people way down below searching for your Smith Crossing caches. At the very end of the gravelled pathway, where it forms something of a circle, is a grassy area. Underneath that grass is the foundation for their house (you can't see it but you can immagine what it would be like to live there). The house came down in the late 1990's. From that circular area there is a less developed path that leads into the woods. That is where you need to go. Walk until you can see the 23rd Ave bridge at Smith Crossing. Then off into the forest you must go. Many people have found this cache from Smith Crossing. You can approach it that way but you loose the benefit of standing up on the Point and resting on a park bench to enjoy an awesome view. It is also much easier to start in Twin Brooks and you even get a paved parking lot. We've included a pencil for the log but no sharpener so you might want to trade one.
