Near summit of prominent South East Queensland Mountain. Experienced walkers only with ability to navigate. This is a wilderness area, tracks are not graded and may become indistinct. Take well equiped pack including Maroon topographic map, compass, first aid, food, water and wet weather gear. Fill in trip sheet and leave with reliable friend or relative before setting out. Required fitness level... you will be climbing a mountain.
This cache is a smallish plastic container inside a snap lock bag. The contents are shown in the attached photo and originally included TB "Mikey" who is touring the world seeking adventure. There are several routes to the summit varying in difficulty. All routes require a good level of fitness, the ability to navigate and bushwalking experience. Mobile phone reception can not be relied upon. This walk is not suitable for children as the Mountain boasts numerous large cliffs. The easiest route begins at the end of the Cotswold Road and is described in most good bushwalking guides for this area. It is best not to attempt any of the routes in wet weather. This area is a National Park. An experienced walker would complete the trip in much less than a day however an early start is recommended as is a camera. The views on the way up and from the top make the effort well worth while.
