Geocache Description:

A traditional cache located in Greater Nottingham, not too far from the Derbyshire border. This is up a hill not too steep on a well-trodden dirt path.

With regards to the name, finding this cache really shouldn't be! It's simply a play on the name of the road on which it is located! (Although finding the street based solely on that clue, however, might be a different story ). This is our first attempt at placing a cache and I hope it won't be the last! Congratulations to RoPeHe who was the FTF on this cache (at 6:15am on a Bank Holiday - madness!).

This cache is located between Bramcote and Stapleford, two towns on the edge of Nottinghamshire with very easy access to Nottingham, Derby and further afield on the M1. This cache is a good one to do if you're beginning to feel the monotony of being on the road and need to get out your car for a while. Suggested parking is at waypoint P1 (Bardill's) where you can take a wander. There is nearby public transport available to thw cache. Take the Rainbow 4 from Nottingham or Derby and get off at the Ewe Lamb Lane (ask the driver for details but there are usually on-board announcements on these buses). There is also the 18 from Beeston or the 21 from Ilkeston if you're local. Again, the suggested stop is Ewe Lamb Lane.

Nearby parking access to this cache is very limited. If you decide to park on the road itself, please be aware that this is a very quiet residential area which although has plenty of people wandering through, has very few people parking up with the intent on taking a short walk. If you do decide to park on the road, PLEASE do not park anywhere after the road loses the pavement and becomes a dirt track. This is an access road for residents and farmers. Please see the Waypoints section below for recommended places to park.

For those looking to get more than one cache done in the area, there is "The Devil's Cast" (GCM0AW), literally a mile and a bit away North as well as the Highfields multi-cache (GCV19D) on the way here from Nottingham. Those wanting to stay close to the M1 may enjoy the "Stoney Clouds" (GCV17C) cache which actually overlooks the motorway itself!

It should finally be mentioned that this path, although not bustling, proves quite popular with locals for walking dogs, taking a stroll or just as access to the surrounding areas. Be careful with muggles. Although you'll be able to see down the path to check for muggles, there's a bend at the top of the road where they can sneak up and surprise you. If you've got enough people in your crew, get one of them to stand up there to keep an eye out! This path is not suitable at night without artificial lighting equipment (torches!) and is not wheelchair accessible.
