Geocache Description:

Located at a historic site, this cache will make for a nice quick cache, ideal for beginners or those with limited time to be able to set aside for cache hunting.

This cache is hidden at the Ridgeway Battlefield historical site along Highway #3, just outside of Ridgeway, Crystal Beach and Fort Erie. Being so close to the United States border will also allow for this to be a good jumping off spot for Travel Bugs heading towards our Southern Neighbours.

This is a site that is also marked as a Picnic Reststop along Highway #3, so you have to ask yourself if you should bring along your teddy bear (we did when we hid it!) Please post your pictures with your teddy bear if you bring him along for the adventure!

The site features a historical cairn marker, the Ridgeway Battlefield Museum, a picnic pavillion and an open field. Dogs are permitted on leashes only, and please remember to pick-up after your pets.

In keeping with the idea of a starter cache, the container is clear plastic, and hid within 3 or 4 meters of the open field space. The hiding spot is one of the favourites among geocachers.

This cache was started with trade items chosen by "I" and carefully placed into the container.

Have Fun Everybody!
