The walk is about one mile, up hill, on a dirt path. The last few steps are a bit rocky. If you go early in the morning you might see a group of mule deer. If it is warm enough, you are likely to see lizards scattering as you walk by. At the end of the trail you will have a 360 degree view. Looking to the east you will see the Sangre de Christo mountain range. On a clear day, facing east, look at the base of the short lower mountain range. Can see the Great Sand Dunes?
The cache is a black can about the size of a one pound coffee can. The original contents of the cache are: 2 chockers necklaces - a dolphin and a brown one, a small plastic alien, T-Puller, heart key chain, stuffed yellow penguin, stickers, plastic dinosaur, 2 metal bookmarks, 1-6" glass ruler, plastic ring, small top, 3 Del Norte Town pins, and cloth bag with coin inside.
