An easy "Cache & Dash" less than 50 metres from the parking area next to the Grand Union Canal at the Bottom Lock of the Hatton flight of 21 locks or a longer walk to include more of our caches. Please re-hide carefully to avoid muggling. Parking in the car park is only available from 9.00am to 4.00pm but if only grabbing this cache suitable parking is available any time.
Ideal place to park is at the pay and display car park at Bottom Lock (follow signs for Warwick Parkway Station and turn off left at the sharp bend just before the traffic lights at the station entrance) or at the British Waterways Centre at Hatton. The car park at the British Waterways Centre is cheapest - £1.20 all day as of September 2014 but the Bottom Lock car park is £1.50 for up to 3 hours
The cache is a small decon box less than 50 metres from the car park. However a more interesting visit would be to walk along the full length of the flight of locks which would get you three more of our caches along this stretch of canal.
Please note that this is a small cache so only small items should be left and something similar removed at the same time. This will stop the box getting over full as it has a couple of times already which results in the lid not sealing and the contents getting wet.
