Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in the Skukuza Rest Camp of the Kruger National Park.

This hut is the last of the huts dating from the 1920's and 1930's. The hut is preserved as an historical relic from Skukuza's rich past.

Visit this site to see where early Park-goers slept after a hard day's animal-watching. This is a reminder of how things have changed in less than a hundred years. It makes one thankful for everyday conviences like beds en suite-bathrooms.

Spend some time inside the hut reading the information about life in the early days of the Park, and become nostalgic when having a look at the prices of Park-accomodation in those days.
