slightly relocated
Cache location can be approached from a number of directions,
check the map for your nearest or preferred route. There is a path
on both sides of the river, the path south of the river through the
Woodland Trust land is not shown on maps. There are 2 foot bridges
(one south of Intake farm and one fairly close to the mill) which
make it possible to do a circular walk.
The GPSr reception was quite poor - take the hint just in
case
This cache can be included with others nearby to make a
fantastic circular walk of some 2 to 2.5 hours.
Park on Fell Lane at the top of the first footpath and visit the
ancient hamlets of Laycock, Goose Eye (the Turkey Inn does its own
brewing!), Newsholme (the country's smallest church!) and Holme
House.
I suggest, in order, park at (approx.) N 53°51.680, W 01°
55.917, then
