Geocache Description:

Just another stinky micro cache.

The boy, he just hates those stinky film canister micro caches. If the hunt doesn't lead to a container with potential toy trades he considers it completely worthless. Hence the pet name SMC pronounced smuck he has bestowed on any small size cache we attempt to find.

Working on the theory that with age comes irrationality, I informed him that there may be some older cacher folk who actually like to hunt for a container only to sign their name, because not everyone likes plastic toys from fast food restaurants. He gave me the raised eyebrow and didn't seem to buy it.

But when I mentioned that we would know where this cache was because we were the ones hiding the SMC and all those other cacher people would be the ones looking and looking and looking for it, well he was all in at that point.

So I hope, in another five-ten years or so, when he’s all about extreme caching and one of you come across him hanging from the side of some huge cliff by a strand of dental floss trying to reach a stinky micro cache with a terrain and difficulty of 5 you will be so kind to remind him that only old people like SMCs…(and then please tell him his mother said to get down from there).

This cache is a SMC. Cross country bushwhacking is not required. If you feel the need to rappel down the hill in search of the cache….don’t, it won’t do you a bit of good, besides its swamp down there, and we all know what lives in swamps.

For some this will be a simple cache and dash, and don’t forget the pencil or pen because when we placed it my cache bag was fresh out of things that write. If you’re inclined to do a bit of fishing you might look for the red herring.

I averaged the cords, best of ten, feel free to post how well my little garmin did, and when you find the cache please be careful to return it exactly as found.

And please, no spoiler shots or comments in the logs (feel free to email them to me though, I’m sure the boy would enjoy them). Thanks.

Good luck.
