Geocache Description:

A micro located in the namesake of the Valley.

Welcome to Shenandoah. On June 27, 1882, the name of the post office was changed from Shenandoah Iron Works to Milnes (MILL-nz), in honor of one of the town fathers, William Milnes, Jr. Thereafter, the name of the town was changed, by an Act of the General Assembly, from Milnes to Shenandoah City. During the following years, the word "city" was informally dropped from the town’s name.

The site of the cache was formerly the town jail, which sat near the old General Store, which is operating as such today. All that remains is the foundation around the cache.

The cache should be easy enough to find, but extreme muggle activity in "the season of treats" will make it a challenge to pull off undetected. Remember, this is small town America and the locals all want to know all they can about what's going on.

The container is a pill bottle with a log and pencil and special "treat" for the FTF. Welcome to Shenandoah!

Note: Benchmark HW0753 is a super easy find just a block away.

Note: thanks to the owner for granting permission for the placement and seeking of this geocache!
