Geocache Description:

A nice hike up Slaughter Creek.

Ridgeseeker and MTboy go on a hike and have a cache in their pack? A mountain cache! Well, there was some debate when we got to the top of the first ridge if we should hide it there , or keep going. I looked up at the peak about 1000 feet higher and said...how about there? The compassionate Ridgeseeker though, convinced me to put it at the lower spot...We continued on and had an amazing hike in winds that probably reached 60mph. Beautiful May weather! Anyway, if you go do this cache continue on...it is well worth the effort for views of the Resurrection trail, the Alaska Range, Kenai Lake, Skilak Lake, and more! Please place cache securely back in its spot, it gets windy up here! There is a trailhead near the Wildman liquor store... I didn't get coords for the trail and parking. It is the road just before the store... If there are compassionate cachers out there that want to post the parking coords for those that follow in your footsteps feel free...
