Geocache Description:

Medium Lock n'Lock hidden off the main paved trail of Chapel Hill's Bolin Trail. Trail is closed at dusk until 6am.

The origin of this one is our son's first trip out in his stroller, almost 5 years ago. It was a pretty September day but unseasonably chilly. We got so far along this trail, when we remarked...."Doesn't he look blue?". "Nah, it's just his clothes... Oh jeez, yeh his lips are blue!!". Quick trek back to defrost him at Fosters. Anyway, here is a cache we placed today taking out our new daughter along the same trail at the same age. It was a nice break in the general domestic madness a new child is surrounded by. Oh, and it was hot today..let's hope we don't need to place a Red Girl cache in a few years time.

Best parking for this is at the small strip mally thing housing Foster's Market in Chapel Hill on Martin Luther King Blvd, a.k.a Airport Road. You can cut a very small section of the trail off by constructive mapping and parking. From Foster's, it is about a 0.5 mile trip on paved trail to the cache. You will leave the paved trail for a few 10s of feet. Leave the trail just past a rock at the edge of the easy bushwhack. Probably some poison ivy around. An alternative start is at Chapel Hill Community Center which adds about another 2 miles to the round trip. Here is a trail map.

You are looking for a medium sized Lock n'Lock.

Start: Anything a boy would want! Ok, plus a couple of girly things. Plus a Maingray FTF hand.
