Geocache Description:

This is a 6 part multicache about 3 miles long located on some nice hiking trails in Cascade and Boynton Parks. Winter friendly.

Cascade Parklands, which includes Cascade Park and Boynton Park, is one of Worcester’s lesser known parks but it is certainly not lesser when it comes to either size or beauty. This multi cache will take you to some of its most interesting features including an old Indian meeting ground, kettle ponds, a giant boulder split in two, and some waterfalls. This cache was designed with families in mind – some of the caches will contain small items for trade in addition to the final cache. This is not a cache to do in a hurry - if you do, not only will you miss out on the beauty and interesting features of this park, but you may find yourself led astray. (Enough said). It does loop around to take you back near where you started. It is best started at the Cascade area of the park. Park at coordinates: N 42 16.989 W 71 51.768. Take a look at the map at the entrance to get your bearings as well as some interesting information about the area and proceed up the Newton trail. Where to go from there should be evident from the coordinates. The first cache will have room for small items to trade – this is not the final cache and should not be logged but should satisfy families with small children who do not want to do the whole hike. The other caches are of various sizes including micros. You will recognize the final cache which is a green ammo box. NOTE: Bring a paper and pencil to write down the needed clues for the coordinates of the final cache. All but the final cache are placed close to the trails and significant bushwacking is not required. The final cache is about 150-200 feet from the trail. This is a great place for dogs and families. There are picnic tables about halfway through. (If you are interested turn south when you get to the road after cache #3) There is also a small playground and fields here. As this is our first cache your comments are welcome. Hope you enjoy the hunt!

***PLEASE NOTE*** This is a 6 (SIX) PART MULTI-CACHE!  Please only log this as a 'FIND' if you have completed all six stages!!
