The Asylum Traditional Cache
Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

The container is 5" by 8". There is a FTF ribbon, an asylum key as well as many other unsafe and insane trades making up the ghostly contents.
"It's never been the same around here since 'the asylum' burned to the ground" said the longtime resident of Kinneloa Mesa who insisted on remaining anonymous. "I remember so long ago when it was being built, all the concrete and iron bars, ominous looking machinery and those.....cages." The institute which was formally known as the Center for Radical Experimental Electro Psychology. The C.R.E.E.P, for short, was an ominous and mysterious presence on the mesa overlooking the primeval wastelands of eastern Pasadena. "It was never made clear to the public what was taking place within the facility. Children that were brave enough to approach the fence were quickly frightened away by huge armed security guards, and adults whispered about the muffled screams from within the walls of the institute as well as the late night activity at the loading dock. On the night of the fire the weather was unusually stormy. It was thought that a lightning strike caused the buildings to burst into flames, but eyewitnesses said the lightning appeared to be coming from inside and striking outwards primarily from the domed portion of the roof. All humanity inside the firey walls was lost. Since that unfortunate fire, strange and frightening occurances have been happening throughout the neighborhood. Luminous beings are frequently seen running on the streets away from the site and then disappearing into nowhere. Residents have reported getting phone calls that sound like distant screaming and tortured moans. On each and every anniversary of the fire, the entire Kinneloa Mesa neighborhood blacks out for a brief moment at the time when the fire started. Some of those who wander about the abandoned site are often approached by unseen forces which jostle them about and chill them to the bone. Others feel electrical tingling which raises their hair on end. A couple have never returned. Good luck!
