What is the Round Aylesbury Walk?
It's a 12 mile circular walk which can also be split into 2 or 3
mile segments for those only wanting a gentle stroll. It's a joint
venture between the local Ramblers' Association and Aylesbury Vale
District Council and is signposted clearly along the route. Most of
the route to the North of Aylesbury is on firm footpaths and
grassed areas, but there are parts of the Southern Section that
cross cultivated fields and meadow land, so be prepared for some
mud at times!

About the Cache
This part of the Round Aylesbury Walk runs from Quarrendon round to
the industrial area of the town near Rabans Lane. The cache is
located next to an area of parkland behind a screen of bushes. The
river Thame runs alongside the path, providing a natuaral boundary
to the park.
There's a sign along the A41 mentioning 'Stone Bridge' which was
built in 1993. We can only assume they weren't being literal as the
bridge is clearly made of concrete!
The cache is far too easy to do on its own! Why not make it part of
a stroll along a section of the walk?
You are looking for a small flat box - large enough for the logbook
and pencil and some very small items (or a geocoin!)
Doing the whole walk?
If you're heading west towards Fairford Leys then the next cache in
the series is a short walk along Raban's Lane:
'Cow-slip'
If you're heading east towards Quarrendon then the next cache in
the series is over the road:
'Field of Gold #2'
Transport:
Handy parking along the A41 can be found at the coordinates below.
Please be careful if parking here as the road is busy and cars come
past at a fair pace! Alternatively you could park in a nearby
residential street.
For bus services, you could use the number 2 which runs along
Dickens Way (to the South) or the number 16 which runs along the
A41.
