Geocache Description:

Located off the Earley Lake Trail accessed from Day Park at the NE corner of County Road 5 and Southcross Drive in Burnsville.

Until a couple of years ago, you needed to bushwack for several hundred yards at the east end to hike completely around Earley Lake. The City of Burnsville has completed a project to extend the paved walking path all the way around the lake. There is also a picnic shelter, playground equipment, and public parking. This nice little "Gemstone Park" even has water access for your canoe. The lake is named after William Earley, who settled on its western shore in 1854.

The cache is a camoflauged one quart Ziplock refrigerator container. The initial contents are:

Pencil
Log Book
Red toy tow truck
Yellow frog
Action figure
Sand dial timer
Dice
One American dollar

It is a short distance off the paved walking path and is winter friendly.

This is our first cache hide, we hope your enjoy it!
