Final resting place of Charles Puryear (1860-1940). First Dean of TAMU and acting president twice. Helped to established first football team at A&M.

Puryear Hall (1927-1996) named after him. After Puryear Hall was demolishedm, bricks from dorm used to build Freebirds.
