I placed this cache along with some others while hiking along a lesser used trail in the Lake Poway/Mount Woodson hiking area. I found a sign that calls this trail the Warren Canyon Trail. The caches are all micros or small and don't expect any good swag in them (just warning you).
I ran across this large open area while on my hike today. I am not sure why this area was cleared but I figure it has something to do with aliens wanting a clear landing area. Let me know if you have a better idea of what the open area is for when you find the cache.
The cache is a small (almost micro) lock&lock container.
