Small Regular cache. Just off lower Painted Cave road. Easy walk.
This is the first in a series 3-5 caches I plan to place at old
home sites in the Los Padres forest behind Santa Barbara They have
all been abandond over the years for various reasons. Often there
is little left behind to show that they were ever there. There are
clues, that fade over time. The most obvious is old, overgrown
roads. These often terminate at a clearing or area of sparser
growth. In most cases there is still concrete and stonework
masonary left behind. There is also the presence of non native
plants spread about the area. Have fun. poke around and see what
you can find. The first is off of lower Painted Cave road. The
native sandstone wall is a dead giveway.
