This cache is about 1/2 mile farther up stream from my "Support
Our Troops" cache that I placed in the valley last March. The trail
was cleared on May 7th 2006 and should remain clear throughout the
Summer.
It is only about an hour from where you must park your car which
is at the end of Kawaipuna St in Hau`ula, or about 15-20 minutes
deeper into the valley than my other cache.
Like my other cache in this valley it is high above any flood
danger so if not muggled it should last for years. I placed the
cache into a Zip Lock baggie for extra protection against the
elements.
I you have lots of time there is a great waterfall and pond to
swimm in about 3 hours up stream from the cache. Expect to cross
the stream at least 30 more times to get there. After the 25th
crossing you will spend lots of time rock hopping in the stream bed
as there is no bank along the stream for a trail.
