Geocache Description:

The park is named for Vancouver's longest serving Park Commissioner, George Wainborn, who contributed to the City's parks and recreation system for 33 years between 1956 and 1990. Among his many accomplishments, Wainborn was a leader in the creation of Stanley Park's Miniature Railway, played a key role in starting the Carol Ships program, and initiated lighting of the magnificent grove of elm trees on Beach Avenue at Bidwell each Christmas season. A recipient of the Freedom of the City in 1991 and Order of Canada in 1999, he died in September 2003.

Dragon has recently started up his coin collection. To this end a cache has been placed for the open exchange of coins. No... not geocoins. Real coins. SMALL CHANGE ONLY PLEASE.

Cache is a cammo ammo box. Within the cache are two containers marked "IN" and "OUT". Take from OUT leave a coin of equal value IN. My goal is to collect Canadian quaters. As I collect duplicates there will be a growing number of cool quaters and other coins to snag from OUT. Other trade items are welcome as space permits.

This park is a dog walkers paradise and extremely busy in the evening and weekends. Ultra-stealth is required during peak periods. Security patrols at night. Razortooths during the day. I recommend a night cache or mid-mornings. Good Luck.
