Brazil, Bolivia, Peru Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ROTSIP: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed so that local cachers can share in on some of the spoils of my recent visit to South America.

After a month of travels in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru, I thought it fitting to create this cache to share some of the loot with you all.

For pics and diary of my trip, please access www.g-trove.com, and click on Journal, and scroll down to Brazil, Bolivia and Peru sections.
The webmaster loves it if you can leave comments on his site!

The cache is hidden in the Klaaschenbosch trail in Constantia. It was one of the legs of "Walking the Dog" (previous finders of that cache may log this as well once they have visited this one).

Park at:
S 33° 59.80
E 018° 25.83

Follow trail for about 500m. Reception may be poor under trees, so when in general area, you will encounter a clearing, with an obvious log across the river. Cross the log (assuming you are on South side of river). Cache is hidden in roots of the tree on the slope, covered with leaves, and some pretty spiky conkers, so watch your fingers.

Cache contains necklaces, bracelets, wallets etc from South America, and some coinage. If possible, please try and swap for goodies from your overseas travels.
If not, please swap for local handycrafts instead.
