Take a step back in time and visit the Old Schoolhouse. I was given permission to place a cache here by the Jackson County Board of Supervisors. The schoolmarms inside are aware of it and would like to meet all you geocachers. If you can't find the cache, go inside, they may let you use the "thinking cap" AKA "dunce cap". Nighttime caching is not required!
I'll give you multiple ways to locate the final, with varying degrees of difficulty. Use the method that suits you. Name the method used when you log/post your find, the results of this survey may determine the difficulty of future caches.
There are four methods:
Method #1. From the posted coordinates, take 2 paces north then 23 paces east. Watch where you park or you may have to walk over top of your car!
Method #2. Solve this code "TO HMRHCD SGD MNQSG DMC NE SGD RHFM"
Method #3. At the posted coordinates, look around. Distance to Savanna A, Bellevue BC, Dubuque DE. The final is located at 42* (C)(A).(B)(C)((B+D)+(A/D))N 090*(D/A)(A/D).((B+E)+(A/E))(C)(B)W.
Method #4. At the posted coordinates find the plaque with the dedication date A/BC/DEFG. Subtract .(G-E)(D/B)(E-G) from the longitude and add .(G-E)(E-G)(B) to the latitude.
Please be discreet, you will be caching in plain view of a busy highway and at times the area may be busy. The final is a one quart plastic container with the usual cache items and logbook. Please, no short entries! I really enjoy reading about your geocaching experiences.
