Geocache Description:

This cache is a Cammoed peanut butter jar spawned from the G-People's April cache: Planting season. Park on the northbound shoulder of the road. There is room to pull well off the road at the end of the guard-rail. There is also room to walk behind the guard-rail to keep away from traffic although the shoulder is quite wide.

It has been interesting to watch the work of castor canadensis here over the last several years.

Beavers are the largest rodents in North America, with adults weighing up to 40 pounds. When undisturbed, they are active anytime but are generally nocturnal near human activity. When alarmed, a beaver will slap its tail on the surface of the water, resulting in a loud warning to others. They are thought to be second only to man in their ability to alter their environment. Beavers are best known for their cooperative construction of elaborate dams and lodges which also creates ponds or wetlands.
