This cache has been archived.

Bunjil: I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

             - Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
             - No response from the cache owner.
             - No cache to find or log to sign.
             - It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
             - Cache has been abandoned by cache owner

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in Subject), and assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

Pickupfamily's first cache is located in the goldfields behind Heathcote's main street with a pleasant view over the town. Apparently the main vein of gold went through here. Getting to GZ is easy enough, getting the cache is harder.

The cache is a 400ml Sistema container with a camouflaged outer covering. GZ is about a 400m walk through rocks and scrub in the gold mining area at the back of Heathcote.

Suggested starting point is S 36 56.078, E 144 42.611, or if you don't mind getting your car scratched, you can take the track from here to within 100m of GZ. This route in is quite kid-friendly.

Alternatively you can probably get here from the Pink Cliffs side (near pprass' cache "What did you say?") with a bit of bush bashing and I think at least one barbed wire fence. It's all Crown Land.

We hope you enjoy the rock formations, the wildflowers and the view from GZ. The kids will love climbing around these rocks, but watch out for snakes.

Finding and retrieving the cache itself will require some ingenuity and/or physical feats, hence the difficulty and rating. Be careful!

Derringer's cache "Military Madness" also nearby is highly recommended, although took us three visits to find it.

Initial cache contents:
- Log book and pencil
- Bud G Frog TB
- Combination lock
- Hair elastics
- "Danger" lanyard
- Party popper
