A nice dune hike to a interesting vista
Hundreds of years ago, a band of Trees ventured into the Land of Sand. Sand and Trees had been for war in this coastal area for centuries. The Trees set up camp on a high dune, but at night the Sand and Wind attacked. The Trees sunk their roots deep in the sand, while the Sand and Wind attacked with all their might. Hundreds of trees were toppled by the shifing Sand.. The Trees, mostly young Pines and Spuce were strong and fought after wave after wave of attack. Cut off from the other trees, they were determined to survive. Eventually the trees learned to adapt to fight off the fierce winds. New generations of trees were born, and they too, learned to fight the Sand and Wind. Now, hundreds of years later, the battle contiues on and around Pacific Fortress.
This hike starts at Hall Lake trailhead. Head toward the open dunes and follow your GPS. No vehicles are allowed here so you'll have to hoof it! The cache is in a metal ammo can. First finder can claim the signed photo from geo-model/actress Sasha Azevedo. Be respectful of the Trees and their fallen comrades. Please rehide the cache well.
