I have replaced this cache at a much higher vantage point. The river rose over 10 feet to claim this before, it will have to do much better than that to claim this one.
Please read long description for info. Cache is located near the swift flowing Black River. Enjoy the hunt!
This cache has moved significantly enough to make it a new challenge for any previous finder. I will allow refinds as well as a new FTF log. There is a FTF prize in with the logbook.
Cache is a plastic container stocked with some items.
If you approach this cache from the other riverside cache, there are several slippery spots and you will be within 6 feet of the river, sometimes less. Watch out, the river is quite unforgiving. I DO NOT recommend this approach. I was a fingertip (really) away from floating down the Black River (see note and previous logs).
If you approach from a parking lot (best and safest way), remember I do not like to Bushwack. There is a trail from JCC to within 200' of the cache, and requires a little (20-30') bushwacking. After the bushwack, some mountain goat skills will assist you.
PLEASE-when you locate the cache, take a moment to look at the way it is hidden so you can replace it exactly the same way.
