Geocache Description:

Crown land, high and dry trail, but wear rubber boots in the spring and fall. Cross country skis or snowshoes in the winter.

This is one of my favourite walk/cross country ski trails. It is on a road that was created across crown land because a landowner was disgruntled that the municipality would not snow plough a township line road to his property, although the municipality has done so the last few years. There are many hunt camps off of this trail so be extra careful during the fall months. I take my 4X4 up this road, but prefer to do the walk. If you park at the edge of the gravel road,( N 45*45.934, W 79*34.014 )it is exactly 880 meters to the cache. If you go much further, you are on private property. When placed, this cache contained: Pencil Pencil sharpener Log book Flashlight Toy truck Rain poncho Supertramp Classics Vol. 9 music CD 2-AA batteries Cache is a small (6X6X4) lock lid white plastic box, but is well hidden, and camoflaged by part of an army green raincoat
