Geocache Description:

A cache hidden off a scenic river trial in the upper reaches of The Patuxent River State Park. Locals have long referred to this Park area, off both sides of Long Corner Road, as “Riverbottom”.

Trail to cache winds through the river bottom with some large old growth trees along the river; including an “Indian Trail Tree” at coordinates N 39 18.455’ ~ W077 09.763'; (More can be learned about Indian Trail Trees here).

Cache container is a small, waterproof Pelican box, with a clear lid, holding only small objects. When returning container to cache location, please make certain lid is tightly snapped shut, and that it is returned exactly as found.

This cache has been approved by the Maryland Forest and Park Service.

Caution - This Park is a public hunting area, and Park officials request that users be familiar with the firearms hunting seasons. Blaze orange vests or clothing advised if entering area during these times - Officials request that you refrain from entering area during the firearms portion of Deer Season.
