It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of the passing of Just a Walk Through Another Park (GCW2YH ). JaWTAP had an outstanding 4.5 year run as a stand alone cache, and several years before that an ensemble member of a multi-cache.
I was alerted to possible problems by "bg" and went to the site with "Dr.B's" fixit kit after the recent "March in like a lion" display by Mother Nature.
Upon arriving at GZ, that is what it TRUELY was. It looked like an A-bomb had been dropped right on top of the hiding place. Picture an "Outback Bloomin' Onion" with the cache container in the center, fully visible to all that passed by!
The limbs were all twisted, skewed, and akimbo (I like that word!) such that they cut off the normal access to the cache. Thank the powers that be that "Lucky Da Walkin' Stick" INSISTED upon going along. With his amplified reach, we poked and prodded the container from its "Safe Harbor". Neither of us can understand why it was not sucked into oblivion.
JaWTAP enjoyed being "The First" for many locals and frequently being visited by cachers from all over the world. RIP my friend, you will be missed.
