Needed to find a worthy spot to hide what was
going to be FT-048. How could I place this cache so Chris would
be proud? Was considering an “owl hole” 100 feet up a tree.
Perhaps a ledge that could only be accessed by a dizzying rappel
from above. Even considered attaching it to a rock in the middle
of Class 5 rapids.
With the cache with me, as I did the two finds at
Prossers Cathedral Pines, was searching for a high adventure spot.
Unfortunately there was none to be found (none of the trees topped
50 feet). Did find a spot though with timber, water and a little
fancy footwork. No climbing necessary. Will not be in the first
place you look.
Cache is a round Lock and Lock with the usual
swag and a log/pencil/sharpener. Thanks Chris.
