This cache is located at King William County Courthouse
Built around 1725, King William County Courthouse is purported to be the oldest courthouse in continual use in the United States. Hanover County Courthouse was later patterned after King William Courthouse.
There have been some additions, renovations and even fires throughout the years, but the original courthouse remains.
Even though court is no longer held in the building, there are judicial matters held there so that the 'continual use' status can remain true...thanks to cooperative local judges.
No need to venture deeply into the woods for this cache, it's at the edge. Please don't remove container lid from it's 'lifeline', just pluck off the bottom, cache contains log and small pencil for signing.
