Geocache Description:

A puzzle with a dedication.

Originally launched by Quiz Mark, this cache was adopted by Chris-King to prevent it being archived and lost to the caching community. I have kept the cache in its original form, but enhancements were made to ensure the cache was kept dry since it suffered getting water-logged.

The contents on placing were mainly keyrings, in connection with the dedication, and keyring swaps would be appreciated. There are however a few other items for those who don’t like keyrings!

The co-ordinates above are for The Hare & Hounds, a pub where you might want to celebrate your find, but you do NOT need to stop there to solve the cache. If you like touring old houses and grounds, you might also want to visit nearby Godinton House & Gardens. There is limited (2 car) parking fairly near to the cache itself, and it is also foot or bicycle compatible (though sadly not wheelchair), as testified to by a lifelong pedestrian / cyclist (me)!

IMPORTANT NOTE: All access to retrieve the cache is on public land, there is no need to go over fences or on private property. You would be advised to wear good waterproof walking shoes when retrieving as the ground can get very wet!

Cache has now been hopefully made more waterproof! I have now:
a) Added a replacement log book in a plastic clip bag with logs from previous cache. Plus 2 small pencils.
b) Extra plastic clip bag for any swap items/keyrings (salvaged from previous cache)
c) Added silica gel to absorb any moisture that could accumulate.
d) Hopefully made it less likely to get water logged - I will check it periodically in case

Please take care when removing and returning the cache, also ensure container bags are sealed!.
Ensure cache is secured correctly and after completion to keep it dry!

Oh, and as is usual for a puzzle cache, please use your common sense when writing your online log so as to not give anything away.
As my teachers used to say to me “Don’t make me have to use the Red Pen!”

SOME FINAL FRIENDLY (if cryptic) ADVICE FOR ONCE YOU’VE CRACKED THE CYPHER: You may read, but do you understand? Either take your understanding with you, or be prepared for a difficult challenge when you arrive! But on the other hand, if you can’t understand, visiting the cache may help!

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
